Subject: Produce Research Methods Lineage Report re: NGFP, Due April 24, 02026
Dear Dr. Collins,
I’m writing because during lunch today, I ran into Lady Sarah Spencer in the cafeteria here at Headquarters. As you know, Lady Spencer is the Community Weaver and Coordinator for the the Next Generation Foresight Practitioners (NGFP). Among other things, we discussed Mission Kaiju_Love_Care_Futures_02026, and she was curious about how your time with NGFP is informing your research design.
I must admit: after this conversation, my curiosity is piqued. You know as well as anybody that I have been openly skeptical of your methods—if you can call them that—and Lady Spencer’s comments made me wonder if there is, in fact, a method to what appears to be your madness. If it turns out your methods are sound, this is good news for the Mission, indeed.
By End of Day Friday. April 24, 02026, please produce a brief report outlining your time with the Next Generation Foresight Practitioners in the fall of 02025 and how that work influences Mission Kaiju_Love_Care_Futures_02026. We know that you and the team will be in Chicago for your informational interview with Sue the T. rex. We advise that your write this report before departure.
Please don’t write anything we will have to redact. This report has the potential to boost our public engagement and engagement with the broader futures and foresight community. In other words: don’t embarrass us.
